Marissa has a wide array of nursing backgrounds, including medical-surgical nursing, home health, and hospice. She has been a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2013, and because of her previous experiences working for other Psychiatric offices, she was excited to open her practice in 2023. She was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has lived in many states and foreign countries. She is a single Mom of 5 children.

Marissa earned her undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2001. She then completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Kansas in 2013, also graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is board-certified through the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) and is certified to treat clients throughout their lifespan.

Marissa believes in a holistic approach to treating mental illness, offering medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications.

Marissa treats various psychiatric conditions, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Eating Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and Phobias, PTSD, Adjustment Disorders, Autism Spectrum, Postpartum Depression, OCD, and psychotic disorders.
